Tsunami Volleyball is a not-for-profit Junior Olympic Volleyball Club based in Atlanta, Georgia. Founded in 2000, Tsunami is the second oldest volleyball club in the Atlanta area and continues to grow and improve with each new season.
Tsunami’s Mission is to provide the highest level of coaching available for girls and boys volleyball players seeking to improve their individual skills and to compete at the highest level possible with their team. While improving individual and team volleyball skills is important we also believe in teaching our players to value hard work, discipline, commitment, sportsmanship, teamwork, competition, and respect for themselves and their teammates. Finally, as junior players, college players, adult players and as coaches, the game of volleyball has provided us with countless amazing experiences and we want the same for every Tsunami player so we work hard to help them develop what we hope will be a life-long love of the game!
To help our players reach their highest goals, Tsunami offers a complete set of tools. Along with our club volleyball teams, we offer youth development programs, summer camps, individual skills training, and small group clinics to help improve volleyball skills and physical fitness. We also offer individual guidance regarding college recruiting along with several useful tools which will help our players to achieve their dream of playing volleyball at the next level.
Our Coaches
The most important key to Tsunami Volleyball’s success is our fantastic coaching staff! We understand that parents don’t want to trust such an important part of their child’s development to just anyone so we work very hard to recruit and retain the best coaches in Atlanta. To us, “best” means not only coaches with strong volleyball backgrounds but also those who focus on helping our young athletes become great individuals on and off of the court by emphasizing the strong character traits mentioned above.
While we recruit coaches with a solid background in volleyball, we believe in continued improvement and consistency for our coaching staff. We expect all of our coaches to spend time each year learning about the newest techniques and strategies being developed and used by the top coaches in the country. We also provide general guidelines for our coaches regarding skill development and coaching principles so that our players will receive consistent instruction from the time they begin their career with our youth development program all the way through their final club season with Tsunami.
