Beast of the Southeast

Tsunami South 17-Dun went for the gold at the Beast of the Southeast Tournament on Saturday and Sunday, February 25-26 but fell just a bit short.  The team placed number 1 in their bracket after pool play on Saturday, but could not overcome some tough competition from Club South 17-1 on Sunday to advance to the final round for the Championship in the gold bracket.  Tsunami South 17-Dun is still ranked as the number 2 team in SRVA, but is within a striking distance of the number 1 team.

Music City Block Party

On February 4-5, Tsunami South 17-Dun participated in the Music City Block Tournament in Nashville, Tennessee in the 18 power division.  After winning two matches on Saturday with the sole loss against Alliance 18-1, Tsunami came back on Sunday to take Alliance 16-1 and RC Juniors 18-1 before falling to tournament champions, Alliance 18-1 in the finals.  Tsunami played hard against Alliance 18-1, the #1 ranked 18 power team by SRVA, but was unable to come from behind in both games of the final match.

Icebreaker Champions

On Sunday, January 29, Tsunami South 17-Dun defeated Atlanta Juniors 17-1 to take the championship in the 17 power division at the Icebreaker Invitational.  After a series of wins on Saturday, a win, loss and play off win on Sunday to qualify for the finals, Tsunami showed the spirit and skill of a team destined for more tournament wins.

Southern Dream

After a phenomenal showing at the Southern Dream Showcase, Tsunami 17 South has been ranked as the #3 17’s team in Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, and Tennessee.  Tsunami is within striking distance of the #1 position and that should change after the upcoming Icebreaker Tournament.  Way to Go Tsunami South!

Connection

As we become more familiar with each other, I can see we are learning to connect and it is awesome to see. I love how hard all of you are competing in practice and it will pay off at the end. Let's continue to focus on our execution and  give purpose to all that we do. Go Big Wave!

Great Start

It was fun to see a little bit of what our team can achieve from the positional practice. I can't wait to see us reaching our peak, let's continue to work hard and be the best we can be - "Git R' Dun!"
