Regional Team Information

TSUNAMI VOLLEYBALL REGIONAL TEAM INFORMATION

We are pleased to announce a new program for this season with Tsunami Volleyball:  Regional Teams!  These teams are designed for players who do not have the time to commit to a National Team schedule but want to benefit from the high levels of coaching, skill development, and competitive experience gained through playing club volleyball.  Regional teams will practice 4 hours per week and will compete in 4 - 5 local tournaments.  Our goal is to offer a spot for all players who want to play for a Regional Team!  

Important information about Regional Teams

• Season runs from January to the end of April.


• 2 practices per week, 2 hours per practice.


• 4-5 local tournaments


• Each Regional Team will consist of 7 to 9 players.  The purpose of this smaller roster size is to maximize each player’s opportunity to play and develop.


• Low time commitment gives an opportunity to play other sports (basketball, soccer, lacrosse, track & field, and, tennis).


• Low cost.  At a total price of $1,000 or less for the season, players are able to discover and learn the sport of volleyball within a team environment at an amazing value.  With over 30 total practices (60+ practice hours) and 4/5 total tournaments (including 2 or 3, larger 2-day tournaments) the value is exceptional.


• Great coaching!  Players will be trained under the direction of our highly qualified and professional coaching staff.


• Regional teams also give players an opportunity to sign up with friends or other school teammates, and continue to create a continuity that they have developed from the fall season.

Registration Process

We will be accepting registrations for our Regional teams up until January 8th, 2012.  We need 2 things from you to get you registered for one of our Regional Teams:

1. Your SRVA Registration form.  Go to www.srva.org.  Click "SRVA Online" on the top left.  Click "Instructions for Individual Registration" on the top left.  This will walk you through the registration process.  Once you have completed this process, click on the link at the bottom to print the .pdf form (2 pages).  Have the Player AND Parent sign in all 3 places on the two pages.  You do not need to pay the $60 fee listed on the form. 

2. Send us a check for $100.  This is your initial deposit for the season and counts toward your overall fees for the season which are listed below.  Make the check out to "Tsunami Volleyball".

3. Mail the SRVA forms and the check to us at the following address or bring them with you to the Kickoff Meeting on the 8th.

All Ages:  Come to our final Open Gym session on January 8th and then stay for our Regional Team Kickoff Meeting!!!

Open Gym:     January 8th:    3:30pm – 5:00pm

Kickoff Meeting:    January 8th:     5:00pm - 6:30pm

Locations:  The final Open Gym session and our Regional Team Kickoff Meeting will ONLY be at our Tsunami South location.  This Open Gym session and the Kickoff Meeting are for both South and Dekalb Regional players, but they will all be at our South location listed below.

  • Tsunami Dekalb:  Practices will be at Sophia Academy (2880 Dresden Dr., Atlanta, GA  30341).  

Cost for our Regional Teams

14's - 18's:      $1,000

12's - 13's:      $   800

This is the total cost for the season and includes everything (coaching fees, tournament fees, uniform fees, gym fees, etc.).

Payments

For all Regional Teams, $100 will be due when you commit to play on the team (anytime between November 9th, 2011 and January 8th, 2012).  This $100 reserves your spot on the team.  $300 will be due February 1st, 2012 and then $300 more will be due the first of each successive month until your balance is paid.  Regular account statements will be sent to you so you will know how much your final payment will be.

Our new website should be up and running soon and will have the option to pay online.  Until then, payments can be made by check and mailed to the following address.  Please write “Regional Team” and your location (e.g. “South” or “Dekalb”) in the memo section of the check.
